The NPD Group have released their monthly console sales rankings for North America, and the Switch has remained as the best selling console for April. That’s despite severe shortages.
According to NPD, Nintendo sold 280,000 Switch units in April in North America.
Not only that, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the top selling game in April as well. The game sold 550,000 units (460,000 physical and 90,000 digital). And that accounts for only two days, as the game launched on April 28th.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the third best selling game last month, Nintendo pointed out in a press release regarding the NPD numbers.
Along with the 3DS, which sold 68,000 units, the Switch and 3DS made up almost half of all console sales in April in North America.
