Last week the launch of the Nintendo Switch saw strong numbers in the Japanese market last week with more than 330k units moved. That’s more than the Wii U and PS4 for that region, but still less than the Wii.
Despite that, it appears that the Nintendo Switch is keeping its forward momentum into the second week of launch with about 62k sales this week. It was still the best-selling console in the country by far, with the PlayStation 4 not even coming close to its sales figures. As far as video games go, the chart still has several Nintendo Switch titles showing up in the top 20 but Breath of the Wild has been displaced by Ghost Recon: Wildlands for the top spot.
