There’s lots of buzz right now about Destiny 2, the follow-up to the very successful online shooter Destiny. And of course, it was only a matter of time before someone asked developer Bungie if they have plans to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch.
And they’ve said no, there are no plans to bring Destiny 2 to the Switch. And that shouldn’t really surprise anyone.
Here’s what Bungie’s lead developer on Destiny 2, Mark Noseworthy, had to say about the Swtich:
“I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me. It’s incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch”
At least he’s honest and upfront, instead of giving vague answers using words like “possibly” “maybe” and our favorite, “we’ll see”.

Destiny 2 will be released this September on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
