We’ve been reporting on the Joy-Con wireless connection issues that some people have been reporting since the Nintendo Switch launched, but this is the first report we’ve seen of a retailer offering a partial refund because of it.
NintendoLife says they were able to verify several reports of UKers who complained to Amazon about weak Joy-Con signals with their Nintendo Switch and were offered a £70 refund, which is the equivalent cost of a new set of Joy-Con controllers. It seems this is Amazon’s attempt to pacify those who are unhappy with the performance of their new console.
The report says others were offered £45 refunds, suggesting that this isn’t a widespread issue that Amazon is dealing with and instead it’s reviewing these reports and resolving them on a case-by-case basis.
