Sony released the PlayStation VR digital truth headset for the PS4 yesterday, and a single gamer discovered a little something very fascinating: its “Cinematic Mode” can be applied with the Wii U.
The Cinematic Mode tasks an enter from HDMI to a digital major display in digital truth. Considering that the VR headset simply just normally takes the HDMI enter, you can plug just about everything into it, such as the Wii U, and use the Cinematic Mode and play Wii U online games in VR (type of).
Generally, in its place of plugging your Wii U into the Television, you plug it into the VR headset.
But really don’t be expecting head tracking on any other fancy VR capabilities. Japanese Twitter user @chirnoice displays that it works:
