Arkane Reveals Model-new Prey Gameplay Footage

After Prey had a surprise announcement at Bethesda’s E3 2016 meeting before this 12 months, no one genuinely knew what to anticipate from Dishonored twodeveloper Arkane Studios’ consider on the franchise. Observing as Prey had been left untouched due to the fact 2006 (a proposed sequel was canned in 2011), it was unclear particularly what Bethesda was planning to do with the sequence – turns out, the system was to scrap Tommy’s journey from Prey and reboot the franchise. Many thanks to a new gameplay movie, unveliled at the Game Awards 2016 last Friday, we have finally had our first seem at Prey in motion and it seems to be like a sci-fi consider on Dishonored – albeit with unusual black alien goo. Taking location on the, seemingly abandoned, moon-orbiting spacestation of Talos I, you participate in as Morgan a male who’s been experimented upon to the issue where by you’ve got now been granted unique powers. Information around particularly how all that occurs are a little hazy but, as Prey is intended to be established only 16 years from now, there are loads of other queries around how the activities of Prey‘s tale have unfolded. From the gameplay trailer, it seems to be as if Arkane has loads of fantastic suggestions for the franchise – including the skill to completely transform into a mug to tumble by means of a ticket window. Excellent touch. Nonetheless, points do appear strangely Dishonored in tone, but maybe which is just me. You can check out the Game Awards 2016 Prey trailer beneath and make your have thoughts up about Bethesda’s 2017 motion title.

Interestingly, Chris Avellone – designer on Planetscape Torment, Knights of the Aged Republic 2 and Fallout: New Vegas to title but a few – is doing work with Arkane Studios on Prey. It’s safe to say that, if Avellone is on board, this won’t be your rote run-and-gun expertise.
