The handful of Lightning-equipped headphones already on sale draw electric power from the cellphone to operate internal DACs that flip digital knowledge into analogue sound, and adaptors like these will have to do the identical. You will find nearly no possibility these extras will arrive with formal “Created for Iphone” certification, and with no cost or release date they might not arrive right until the Iphone seven does in September. If Apple does go forward and drop the headphone jack, while, you can count on plenty more of these third party plug-ins to make an appearance in the operate-up to start.
