AMD’s Jim Anderson confirmed its 16-core Threadripper processor during the AMD Financial Analyst Day Presentation overnight.
This fits in with the rumours we saw earlier this week, and around a CPU range topped by parts with 16 cores and 32 threads, and AMD’s so-far limited marketing is aiming the processors at “the world’s fastest ultra-premium desktop systems’.
The CPUs will be available this southern Winter, and we’ll hear more about them at Computex, so watch this space.
