Bayonetta Could've Been in Project X Zone 2

Project X Zone 2 has finally been released in the west, allowing all gamers an opportunity to get a second helping of some multi-company crossover goodness. Naturally, one of the biggest selling points of this game is the massive cast of characters from a wide selection of games and while the selection is mostly centered around Namco, SEGA, and Capcom, it seems that Platinum Games almost had a representative appear.

Hideki Kamiya recently revealed on Twitter that he received an offer to have Bayonetta make an appearance, but he turned it down. Interestingly enough, Kamiya would like to make a game himself that features both Dante and Bayonetta, but he now regrets saying no to Bayonetta in PXZ2. Considering that Bayonetta began as a sort of SEGA character, her inclusion would’ve made sense, but alas it wasn’t to be. Here are the tweets:

There was an offer, but I said no. Now I kinda regret that I said no. RT @KoriMaru

I said no to the offer of PXZ cuz I want to make the game in which Bayo & Dante appear by myself. But thinking of fans, maybe I was wrong.
